Photographer Geraldine Hoffman, Town of Oyster Bay Rotational Exhibit:
Geraldine Hoffman’s artistic goal is to “capture a unique moment, a scene, which expresses a mood and a message.” Non-traditional portraits “show the diversity and the individuality of the people I have encountered, opening a window into their lives through my lens.” Her landscape and flowers express the beauty and sensuality of the natural world. The development and printing of each photo completes Hoffman’s individualistic process.
Needlework Artist Louise Tinebra
Needlecraft, Plainview, reading and the Library have been a part of Louise Tinebra’s life since the beginning. She learned to sew at a very early age, and to knit at sixteen. A Plainview resident since adolescence, Tinebra became inspired by a friend’s needlepoint while attending Library story hour with her two-year old son. Over the years, her knowledge of needlecraft grew as she learned to do many different stitches. Now a grandmother of six, Tinebra enjoys knitting as much as she loves to read.
