Ticket Lottery Information
Our beautiful auditorium has created a tremendous increase in demand for tickets to our programs. In order to make it as fair as possible for all community members to have a chance to obtain tickets to a popular event, we have created this lottery system. Prior to the lottery system, only people who had enough free time and were physically able to stand online for hours were able to get tickets.
When a popular event is announced, dates are given for residents to enter a ticket lottery. POB residents have a week to place one entry per resident into the lottery. Residents can request one or two tickets on their entry form. Proof of residency is required in order to submit a lottery entry. You complete a two-part lottery application, submit the left part and keep the right part. The right half of your lottery application will be your ticket if you are holding a winning number. Residents who hold a winning number and had requested two tickets may bring a guest regardless of the guest's residency.
When the lottery is complete, we draw one number. Tickets are distributed to the people holding that number and the numbers that follow in sequence until all seats are filled. Winning numbers are posted at the Circulation Desk, are printed in the weekly Pennysaver ad that comes out each Friday and are available here on the website. You can also get the winning numbers by calling the Community Service office at 516 938-0084.
