Library to Your Door

Anyone who is eligible for a Plainview-Old Bethpage Public Library card and cannot visit the Library due to a physical disability or visual impairment qualifies for the LIBRARY TO YOUR DOOR  program. This program provides free delivery and pickup of material by the U.S. Postal Service. Please contact the Rerference Department for information at (516) 938-0077 Ext. 225

POB's Seed Library

POB's Seed Library

April 1 - September 30, 2024 The Plainview-Old Bethpage Public Library is excited to announce our seed library for 2024!  Patrons with a POB Library card can come in to get seed packets for their gardens beginning on April 1, 2024. Procedure: Sign up at the Reference Desk beginning April 1, 2024 - must have a valid POB Library Card. Each household can choose up to 3 different seed packets from each category; Flowers, Herbs, and Vegetables, for a total of 9 seed packets, limited to one packet from the same variety. Plant your seeds.  Send us pictures of your plants growing to reference@poblib.org to share with your community!First come, first served while supplies last. Please only take those seeds that you will grow!
